Well-Being

Wellbeing means different things to different people. There are many different definitions and views, and most are actually legitimate. Each view has a different focus. For a physician it’s health, for an economist it’s income and wealth, for a psychologist it’s feelings and emotions. A biologist may worry about the genes and a neuroscientist about feedback loops in our brain. There are even more, of course. But most, if not all, miss the most important part – You and me: our individual priorities and differences.

MindBeWell’s MBREO (“embryo”) model takes as many different views into account as possible. It also allows for prioritization as different people simply have different personalities and different priorities in life. It consists of different perspectives, components, and contributors, all of which have an impact on the actual Well-Being of a person, or a person’s contribution of a group’s Well-Being. We use the capitalized “Well-Being” to distinguish our holistic model from other known wellbeing models.
